BIOGRAPHY
Born into a family with a musical tradition reaching back generations, Mark Levy became enamored with the power of music to bring people together and spread joy at a young age. Throughout his childhood and teen years, the study and practice of music became central to his life, and while in high school, the decision was made to pursue a life in music. He received a Bachelor's Degree in performance from The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA, graduating with honors and receiving the Chadwick Medal (awarded to a single outstanding undergraduate) in 2008. Mark's formal studies focused on drum set, classical percussion, tabla and other hand drums. Since then, he has maintained a busy touring schedule, and has performed and toured with notable artists such as Phil Lesh and Friends, and Chris Robinson Brotherhood. His band, Circles Around The Sun, continues to be active today recording and touring. Mark grew up in a suburb of Denver, Colorado and still calls the area home today.
